Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join our Brooklyn team. You will manage the full billing cycle, ensuring accurate and timely claims submission and revenue collection for a high-volume behavioral health organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Submit accurate medical claims to insurance carriers in a timely manner
- Manage denial resolution, appeals, and follow-up on outstanding claims
- Post payments and reconcile accounts
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Communicate with insurance companies, providers, and patients to resolve billing issues
- Maintain compliance with billing regulations and payer requirements
- Generate billing reports and identify trends or areas for improvement
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical billing required
- Knowledge of claims submission, denial management, and payment posting required
- Familiarity with ABA, behavioral health, or mental health billing a strong plus
- Experience with billing software and electronic health records (EHR) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
