Controller

LBAPS is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Controller with healthcare finance experience to oversee the financial operations of our growing organization. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys improving systems, creating accountability, and helping a rapidly growing healthcare organization scale successfully.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting and financial operations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
  • Supervise payroll processing and ensure payroll accuracy
  • Monitor cash flow and develop financial forecasts
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets
  • Perform financial analysis and provide executive reports
  • Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
  • Maintain strong internal financial controls
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable healthcare regulations
  • Coordinate audits and prepare supporting documentation
  • Manage tax filings and work with outside accountants
  • Monitor insurance reimbursements and healthcare revenue cycles
  • Improve financial systems, workflows, and automation
  • Develop financial policies and procedures
  • Support leadership with strategic financial planning and decision-making
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Healthcare Controller or senior healthcare accounting experience preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of healthcare accounting principles
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, payroll, and financial reporting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • CPA designation preferred
  • Experience with multi-entity organizations preferred
  • Experience with healthcare billing, insurance reimbursement, Medicaid, and managed care preferred
  • Experience implementing accounting software and financial automation preferred
  • Leadership and team management experience preferred
